Jet's integrations with GA4 and Google Suite

This article will provide you with steps to troubleshoot your integration with Google Analytics 4.

Please note, these features can only be viewed if your account has dynamic tracking services. To access these features, you will also need to be logged in as an Account Admin.

You can view more information about Jet user roles here.

1. Check your Jet reports

If your account is set up with a Google Analytics integration, this integration will only send a successful event if we have collected all of the session tracking information against each call.

An easy way to check your call data is to visit the Web Session Calls Report.

If you are seeing website data in your attribute columns, then you know your website codes are working at least some of the time.

If you see calls in this report with a number type of DIGITAL_ON_PAGE, there may be an issue with your website tracking codes.

You can perform an audit on your website codes by following the steps here: How to Audit Your Jet Interactive Code

Alternatively, you can request an audit from our team by submitting a request here.

2. Check your integration conversion report

Once you know your website numbers are getting some information, it's time to check your conversion success rate.

Under Dynamic Numbers, choose the option for Integration Conversion Report.

This report will show you the number of conversions we have attempted in the last 30 days, and what percentage of these are successful.

The account in the image above has almost half of its conversions failing.

To find out more, we will click Show Details.

From this error, we can see we attempted to post to GA4, but the value of "client ID" was missing from the data, and Google rejected the date because of this.

If you are seeing an error of client ID missing, you will need to prioritise your Google Analytics tracking code to ensure this data is 100% available for our codes to collect.

3. Check your integration details are correct

Especially with the move to GA4 occurring on June 30th 2023, the integration details we have in the system may be no longer correct.

To check your GA4 integration is up to date with the correct information, please follow the steps below:

Open the Integration Management page under Dynamic Numbers.Screenshot_2023-04-19_at_5.13.15_pm.png

Then, click the Edit Integration box to view your setup details.
